Reflection in this project
In this project, I made a couple of mistakes and a couple of realizations.
one of the first things that we did to start off this project was to research our country and how they were involved in WW1. I ended up getting Egypt which in WW1 was controlled by the British forces. To be honest, I really didn't even know Egypt was a country. Until I actually started to research Egypt.
one of the next things we did was form are research note to make an essay that would talk about the different third battle of Gaza one of the eleven battles Gaza fought in. The essay would later go into the book that is class was making.
On to the poem. The poem I believe was probably the most difficult thing that we did this entire project. This was because we had to use form and meter. although hearing of form and meter from past classes I have never tried to use form and meter. My poem was based on the Third Battle of Gaza that was fought between the EEF (the Egyptian Expeditionary Forces) and Turkish troops.
And finally, probably the most thing I enjoyed during this project making the book. Which would be split up into multiple groups. I got to be in local promotion which is exactly what it sounds like. I would be promoting the book locally. Are local promotion team got to pick the layout and design of a poster. That we later got to hang around the school and also around town.
Are teacher tells us that we have to present our country in a slide show. I was already tired of doing the project so after this bomb i really gave up on trying and I know that where its going to show in my grade.
I think the thing that I learned the most is that I will never want to get a job in writing poetry. But if I end up having to write another poem in my high school career I will know the foundation I will need to build to make a good poem.
